RULES
OUT OF CHARACTER
Respect should and will be given to each and every member within this group. There will be no fighting and pointless drama. If you have a problem with someone, either stay away from them, take your arguments to whisper, or bring your differences to the leaders through private messaging. Also, I know we all have real life problems. Everyone does, even I do, but please, if you are having a bad day, do not come online to just bitch at everyone.
Literacy is crucial in this group. Correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation is a must. Posts should be more than three sentences; however, we all have our days when our brains just do not want to produce words, so if you end up having a "short post," please use this [-s-] at the end of it. Post-cutting is also not allowed here. If you see a member use [>> / -c-] at the end of their post, please wait to post until they are finished. Accidents happen, but if you accidentally post before they are done, please apologize and wait to finish after they do. Also, do not criticize how people roleplay. If someone uses wolf-speak terms or even advanced words, do not bash them; however, those who do use wolf-speak, turn it down a notch. Some of us want to understand what you are saying.
Roleplay samples should be an accurate representation of your roleplaying skills. We understand everyone tries to put all they have into roleplay samples, but if your roleplay sample doesn't reflect your roleplaying skill you will get taken out. Example: You send an amazing roleplay sample with vocabulary and grammar skills the same as a college student. When we see that, we don't expect you to get into the roleplay and forget to put spaces after your punctuation constantly or spell simple words wrong all the time. I understand your brain can't remember every single little thing, but your roleplaying can't drastically change.
Activity is a must in Calescence and is what keeps the roleplay alive. Now, I know everyone has lives outside of Feral Heart as well as belonging to other groups, so try to be as active as possible. There is an absence section on the forum, so if you know you are going to be missing for a while, please just let us know there. On the other hand, if you are absent for weeks without notice and are seen on Feral Heart, you will be kicked. If you're one of those people who join roleplays and never returns, please do not join this group - we strive on activity.
Maturity should be present during this roleplay. There will be swearing and maybe even some slight sexual comments or actions, so if you cannot handle it, then do not join.
OOC Talk should stay in group chat or general chat. If, somehow, you find yourself posting in local chat, please use "[ ]," "{ }," or "( )," around your OOC comments. If full conversations begin out of group during roleplay, you will be asked to switch back over to group chat.
Begging for parents and mates is not to be done. If you are one of those players who feel as if you need to always be in contact with another player and complain if the spotlight isn't on you, then I don't think this group is for you. Try Bonfire. Also, do not beg for a higher rank, because I promise you, you will never receive it.
IN CHARACTER
Respect should be shown to the leaders of the group - that goes for Leaders, Deputies, and Medicine cats. If you are a mate of one of the high ranks, and aren't one yourself, you will not be treated any differently than before.
Killing off your character in the roleplay should be discussed with the leaders before it is done. Once your character is dead, they remain dead. You are welcomed to join on another character, but you will not regain a high rank if you currently hold one. Also, the killing of your character should be done realistically. If someone else is killing off your character, it should not be automatic. Roleplay using attempts and such.
You must wait 2 real weeks before killing off a character.
Reproduction is allowed within this roleplay; however, parents must choose their kin wisely. Offspring should follow all rules on this page and be literate. I will not tolerate illiterate offspring players who complain that they are bored of playing a newborn after the first minute of being born. If your kits do not meet the requirements, they will be forced to give up their position as such. "Mating" is also not tolerated. If you want to act out this scene, do it privately. No one wants to see nor hear that.
Aging should and will be done realistically and follow the chart below.
Kits: One real day = 1 moon in roleplay
Warriors: One real week = 1 moon in roleplay
Kits also must stay within camp at all times unless accompanied by a cat with a ranking above warrior - no exceptions.
Queens may not have more than five kits in a litter.
IC and OOC are completely different things. If your characters are enemies, do not bring the hostility out of character. Also, if members have characters that are harsh and cruel, that does not mean they act that way out of character. If someone is a low rank, they are not to be treated differently out of character. If two characters get into a fight, fighting should not be brought over to out of character chitchat. Got it? { t }
Characters should be realistic in looks and actions - with the exception of mass markings and items. Neon colored markings will not be accepted - cats should be colored realistically. There is a guide in the "Guides for the Average Cat" section for you to look from. This is obviously a wingless group - winged cats will not be accepted, not even if your character is in Starclan, or the Dark Forest.
Size should be respected. You are not allowed to have a character who is as small as a kit, or as large as a lion. If your character has 'dwarfism,' then that is acceptable- only, it should be very uncommon, therefore cannot be used without permission from a staff member, and your character will not be able to have all the perks of being a healthy warrior.
The character limit is 3 characters. You can have them all in different clans, or you can have a loner/rogue/kittypet. Going back to the 2-week rule of not killing off your character, you cannot do this just to get a spot in, say, an audition for kits. You also cannot reserve a spot in an audition.
Automatic Hits are banned completely from this roleplay. Power-Playing, Auto-Hitting, and/or God-Modding are not to be used here. If you do not know what they mean, Google it. Attempted hits are to be used. [ex: She attempted to haul her body on top of the male, hoping to pierce his skin with her sharp fangs.]
If rules are constantly avoided and/or broken, punishments will follow.
